77th Indian Republic Day- The legacy show

Just like any other Republic Day in Indian Household, we all gathered together to watch Republic Day function today on DD National Channel. Paa was already set with remote, maa preparing breakfast for everyone and we siblings sitting alongside Paa for the Republic Day function to start.

Quick note: Republic Day Function, organized annually on January 26, is a national celebration which runs for approx. 2 hours. This function includes representation of our Defense advancements, military capabilities and a vibrant showcase of Indian rich culture and heritage through State tableaus and dance performances.

Since I was kid, it always has been the same pattern for the Gantantra Diwas. First of all, family members are available together including Paa because its an off for the courts. Also our school/college/office are closed too. We all enjoy this function with a lazy breakfast, sipping milk or tea and reminiscing the past parades. We enjoy the parades, talking about how the unique ideas were for the parade this year and then we share which one was best as per each of us. This day is always special to me amongst other days where we all family members are together at once, mobiles on side tables and have talks without any restrain. These moments are just amazing and I, subconsciously, look forward to days like this with family time.

ohh, and I forgot to mention-- personally I liked the Nagaland State Tableau which depicted the Hornbill Festival. It was beautiful :)

Celebrations of Republic Day and Independence Day always fills me up with pride being the citizen of this great nation. Being an Indian means respectful to all people irrespective of caste/creed/color, kind and hospitable because not everything is about money or profit, respects elder because we value their rich knowledge and unsaid protection, nurturing towards the young generation who are future of our country and most important, we are patriotic by blood. I can not even imagine the sacrifices a soldier has to make to protect our motherland. The defense personnel not only stand on the border to risk their life but also give up their chance to have a normal family. I am thankful to our Indian Army that I am enjoying my life comfortably on the expense of their vow to keep every citizen safe. I pray that one day the world will understand the true meaning of peace so that no person has to shed their life to keep their country protected.

Hoping for another peaceful Republic Day, I look forward to India growing every year to next level!

Jai Hind ki Sena. Vande Matram.

Wishing your best
